About

For many people, the connection between "dark" and "Christian" seems obscure. In order to bring clarity, one might ask, exactly what do we mean by these two expressions?
In this context, we wish to define the term "dark art", which is widely used in reference to the gothic and wave subculture, by the aesthetics specific to the scene - and not by any certain philosophy or such.
However, the Christian faith cannot be reduced to matters of aesthetics or artistic fashion, but it rather comprises all aspects of the relationship between God and the individual believer.
In our opinion, true art that is inspired by the Christian faith should be able to exist for art's sake alone. However, the faith of Christ-inspired artists will in most cases be evident on a certain level of their work.
We are a non-denominational on-line mag, meaning that although the editors may frequent different churches, our website is not intended to address members of any particular denomination.
Our aim is to offer to artists who are able to identify with the idea of this site, a platform on which they may present their art - or excerpts thereof - to the virtual world. Moreover, we would like to offer to anyone interested in the Christian gothic "scene" up-to-date information about concerts, releases, etc. as well as the possibility to get in contact with others.
